FASHION fans have been left totally divided over a ''lovely summer dress'' - which some reckon belongs in your ''nan's wardrobe''.

With the weather finally warming up, many stores and supermarkets have been adding new dresses to their collection - and TU at Sainsbury's is no exception.

However, whilst the brand's loved by many - and left super fans impressed with their Zara dupes earlier this year - it seems that one of their latest additions, a gorgeous spring and summer dress, has missed the mark for a number of fashionistas.

One horrified shopper, Heather Cox, took to TikTok after spotting the brand new frock, which is just one of the many fabulous options you can now pick up.

The wardrobe staple - TU Green Gingham Midaxi Dress - features a flattering v-neckline, as well as ''pretty tie details on the sleeves and has a button-down front''.

The must-have frock is the perfect choice for a weekends brunch with your friends or when out and about.

The lovely green dress, which is currently on sale for £20, comes in a range of sizes - however, as many of them have been sold out, it's best to check the availability online first, to avoid any disappointment.

What's more, not only is the adorable frock made of 100 per cent cotton, it's also said to be a close match to the viral Nobody's Child dress, which sells for an eye-watering £89.

The must-have wardrobe staple comes in short, regular and long options, and some have already said that this will be ''the dress of spring/summer''.

''Bought this dress after seeing others wear it, lovely dress for the summer but will need to get the next size up,'' wrote one delighted customer.

Another chimed in: ''I love this dress!! Fabulous green gingham pattern, shows off the girls but not in an inappropriate way and very nicely fitted below the waist.

''It shows off my best bits and hides the bits I don't like so much.

''What's not to like?!''

A third penned: ''Lovely fit, just a little long but I can shorten the dress.''

However, despite the positive reviews online, not everyone's been raving about the cute frock, as Heather, for instance, insisted the dress - and the brand new collection in general - looked like ''old curtains''.

''What the hell are these clothes about in Sainsbury's?'' the mortified shopper wondered in her video.

It's not just Heather who won't be racing to the nearest Saisnbury's to snap up the frock - dozens of fellow TikTok users were also anything but in love with the designs.
