Coronation Street murderer set for shock comeback after three years – but with a twist
THE notorious killer will be at the centre of a major new storyline this summer
A TWISTED Coronation Street killer is making a shock comeback this summer - and it’s bad news for Abi Webster.
Murderer Corey Brent - who is played by actor Maximus Evans in the ITV soap - will be at the centre of a major new storyline three years after he pleaded guilty to murdering Seb Franklin but with a twist, The Sun can reveal.

The harrowing storyline, which was based on the real-life Sophie Lancaster murder, saw Seb and his girlfriend Nina Lucas brutally attacked for being goths in May 2021.
Corey was eventually jailed after confessing to the murder, having been caught trying to flee the country.
He was warned he faced life in prison - but just three years later the spectre of Corey will be felt in a dramatic storyline for Seb’s mum Abi.
A source said: “Seb’s murder was one of the most horrific storylines in recent years.

“Seb and Nina were attacked by a group of things for the way they dressed. But it was Corey who was the ring leader.
“He targeted Nina for dressing as a goth. The fact that he’s back and they are revisiting the hate-crime shows just how important a story it was."
However actor Maximus went on to study at RADA and so will not be seen back on the cobbles.
Corrie bosses worked closely with Sophie’s mum Sylvia, who set up the Sophie Lancaster foundation following her daughter’s brutal murder, to make sure they got the storyline right.
