By Rob Cowen

FIND BEACH PARTY PARADISE IN JAMAICA

Hang loose in Jamaica, a laid-back place to party. Negril – most famous for the notorious swingers’ club Hedonism II – has a four-mile beach (called Seven Mile Beach) lined with bars and clubs.

Eat at Rick’s Cafe on West End Road, with an Appleton rum cocktail in hand, before following the music to the resort’s best nightclubs. Tin shack MiYard is a popular haunt, pumping out calypso and reggae beats into the early hours.

For something more sophisticated, try Jungle on Norman Manley Boulevard, a rainforest-themed club boasting its own (caged) snake and fish pond.

Get there: Seven nights in Jamaica at the Point Village cost from £1,039 per person with First Choice. Call 0871 664 9011 or visit Firstchoice.co.uk/jamaica.

GET WET WITH CELEBS IN LAS VEGAS

Sin City may be the casino capital of the world, but it’s also home to some of the hippest parties, and right now there’s a new trend in town – the A-list pool party.

The Strip’s hotels host daily pool parties from 10am until sunset (or 4am at weekends). Anyone who’s anyone on the showbiz circuit has been spotted there in their cozzies – from Beyoncé to Leonardo DiCaprio.

Sip a Skinny Dip cocktail at Wet Republic at the MGM Grand, which has the Strip’s only saltwater pools, or, for $250 a day, go for something more exclusive and hire a cabana at the Tao club at the Venetian Hotel. It comes with poolside seats, an HD plasma TV and an Xbox.

Get there: Six nights in Las Vegas at the Circus Circus Hotel & Casino, which has cabanas and three pools, costs from £526 per person, room only. Book at Lastminute.com.

BLOW THE BUDGET IN TURKEY

Ibiza might be the obvious choice for living it up in Europe, but Gumbet, close to Bodrum on Turkey’s south-west coast, is an up-and-coming party contender.

By day the beach is filled with sun-worshippers, but things really heat up when the town comes alive at night. Try Legends for tasty, cheap cocktails, while the Outback Bar has free PlayStations. And at Heartbeat Disco you can dance the night away to cheesy pop.

Get there: Club 18-30 runs seven-night self-catering breaks in Gumbet, staying at Hotel Lion, from £350 per person including flights. Call 0845 073 1010 or visit Club18-30.com.

CAROUSE IN CANCUN

American students on their March spring break head to Cancun in Mexico for one of the most carefree, party-filled weeks in the international calendar.

Now the city’s reputation is fast spreading beyond the States thanks to year-round sunshine, white-sand beaches, the turquoise Caribbean sea and luxury five-star hotels… oh, and the all-night parties.

The island’s superclubs stay open until 6am and the top place to lose a night’s sleep is the spectacular Coco Bongo on Boulevard Kukulcan.

As well as being packed with beautiful people, the club lays on gymnasts, theatrical cabaret and trapeze acts to entertain partygoers.

Get there: A seven-night break in Cancun staying at the Hyatt Regency Cancun costs from £682 per person with Expedia. Book at Expedia.co.uk.
