Ziggy Lichman freely admits he can’t take much credit for any of the rooms in the three-bedroom flat he shares with his sister Zoe, 31, and brother Dan, 30.
“I stuck my oar in when we were talking about our plans,” says 27-year-old Ziggy, “but Zoe oversaw everything."
"Luckily, all three of us wanted something minimalist, so we agreed on most things.”
When the siblings bought the £500,000 flat in Queen’s Park, north-west London, 18 months ago, they set about installing a high-tech sound system that pipes music into every room, and knocked down walls to fit in Ziggy’s top priority – the bathroom.
“I wanted a massive bathtub,” he explains, “so we had to redesign the house to make a bathroom big enough to accommodate it.
Knocking down walls and relocating rooms totally blew the budget, but it was so worth it.
“I spend around half an hour a day in here getting ready.
"It’s great because it’s big enough to give yourself a spray tan.
"Dan and I recently went through a phase where we’d come home after a drunken night out, spray on fake tan, then wake up a ridiculous colour!”
When he’s not topping up his tan, Ziggy – who’s single and focusing on increasing his property portfolio – likes to unwind in the monster bathtub.
“I take my iPod with me and soak for ages. I’d like it even better if I was in there with Casino Royale’s Eva Green though!”

1. TOWELS “These are from The White Company (0870 900 9555), which my sister loves. She likes making sure everything matches, no matter how many times me and Dan disrupt it!”
2. BASKET “We’re all quite messy, so this huge wicker basket means we can hide everything away.”
3. TEALIGHTS “It sounds a bit homoerotic, but I love a candlelit bubble bath.”
4. BATH “It’s from Crosswater (0845 873 8840), and cost £1,000. I dread to think how much we paid to redesign the house so we could fit this bath in!”
5. MIRROR “My sister wanted floor to ceiling mirrors, but we realised it would be a bit much. So we got this one from Bathstore (0800 023 2323) instead.”
6. MARBLE FLOOR “Having a marble floor is a luxury – especially as ours has underfloor heating, so your feet don’t get cold when you get out of the bath.”

* Try to buy a place with plenty of bathrooms. They can really add value to your house.
* Make sure your bathroom is fully tiled. This gives it an expensive, classy look, even if you choose cheaper tiles.
* Avoid clutter. It makes rooms look smaller and cramped.
