Not only does Tamara Beckwith live an A-list life in a £3million town house in London’s Chelsea – she’s also managed to bag herself a £100,000 kitchen at a fraction of the price.
And it’s all down to Tamara’s husband, Italian construction heir Giorgio Veroni, 37, who negotiated a whopping £90,000 reduction.
“Giorgio knew the carpenter, so we got it for £10,000,” says Tamara, 38.
“We measured it up and got the marble from Tuscany.
"The whole house is in black and white and the design is a joint project.
“If it were up to me, I’d have disco balls hanging from the ceiling but as this is our first place together, I’ve gone along with him – although there have been arguments!”
Tamara and Giorgio, who tied the knot in Venice last August, bought the five-bedroom, four-storey terraced house three years ago.
Although they eat out regularly in top restaurants, Tamara and Giorgio enjoy cooking together in their cut-price kitchen.
“We both love to cook,” says Tamara. “I make a mean chilled tomato soup with crab and Giorgio does amazing pasta.”
A man who cooks and gets discounts on designer kitchens?
Some girls have all the luck!
Tamara's new jewellery range is available on QVC from June 11 at 7pm.

1. PHOTO BOARD “I’ve had one in every home I’ve lived in. I change the pictures now and again. The downside is when your friends come over and notice there isn’t a photo of them up!”
2. EGG CUPS “I bought some egg cups containing chocolates for my nieces at Easter. I haven’t eaten mine yet but I’ll use the cups again as I love boiled eggs.”
3. CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE “For our wedding, Giorgio’s friend gave us bottles of champagne from his vineyard. They had specially designed labels with our names on.”
4. CUPS “These are from Ralph Lauren and they’re part of our dining set. Their black and white design matches the kitchen perfectly.”
5. RUG “The Rug Company (020 7229 5148) offers a bespoke service. We’re real royalists so we came up with a Union Jack design.”

* Figure out whether you want a minimalist or cluttered look.
* Take a trip to an auctioneers. We bought some old mirrors, got them resprayed and they now look fantastic.
* Customise something ordinary like a lampshade to make it more to your taste. I put ribbons on mine.
