Sarah Poole paid a whopping £1,225 to join an online Bridal Boot Camp.
As her wedding day loomed, Sarah Poole should have been excited about marrying the man she loved. Instead, she was panicking that she’d never fit into the size 12 dress she’d bought for the big day.
“I had dreamt of looking really beautiful on my wedding day, but at 5ft 6in and 11st 11lb, I looked like a barrel,” says Sarah, from Dorset.
So while other people might have hit the gym, the 30-year-old went to more extreme lengths.
Sarah went online and discovered the New You Boot Camp – an intense training course run by ex-army men to help people lose weight quickly. And costing a staggering £1,225 you'd hope so!
“I didn’t have to think twice about spending the money. I was so desperate,” explains Sarah.
“At the camp, ex-military men trained us in everything from body confidence and nutrition classes through to boxing, cycling, core training, obstacle courses and yoga.
“It was exhausting and I was in tears at times.”
But the investment paid off and Sarah dropped an entire dress size in just one week.
“After a week at boot camp I’d lost 11lb and dropped from a size 14/16 to 10/12.
“The size 12 wedding dress I’d bought fitted perfectly, and I felt amazing on the day.
“The pain was totally worth it."
