Who: Jemma McKenzie-Brown, 14
Hot because: She's starred in a box-office blockbuster and now has star-struck teens demanding her autograph… and she's only 14. Still a student at London's Sylvia Young Theatre School, Jemma's already appeared in British television shows M.I. High and The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, but her big break came when she won the role of Tiara Gold in the Disney smash hit High School Musical 3. She was such a success in the film, she's currently auditioning for other blockbuster roles and those in the know are calling her the next Keira Knightley. Not bad going for a schoolgirl from Yorkshire.
She says: "I don't even know how much I earned from the movie. My mum put it all in a trust fund for me. If she hadn't, I would have spent it all in Topshop by now."
We say: She'll have swapped Topshop for Tom Ford by this time next year.
Who: Emma Deigman, 20
Hot because: She writes her own soulful songs and will be the artist you'll be downloading next year. London-born Emma, who counts DJ Samantha Ronson among her mates, got signed to Mad Records this year when a family friend recommended her to top music producer Eliot Kennedy, who's also worked with Take That. Emma releases her debut album in April and says her sound is inspired by, er, wrinkly rocker Rod Stewart. But don't let that put you off – her music will blow your mind.
She says: "I'd never go on a show like The X Factor. If you do that, you get moulded. I want people to share the music I've written and see the real me."
We say: Sassy, sexy and soulful. Emma rocks.

Who: Lisa Blackwell, 18
Hot because: She's starring in series three of Skins next month, the hippest teen show on earth. Playing loveable virgin Pandora (although she doesn't stay chaste for long, we hear), Lisa, from Bristol, managed to combine her acting career with her A levels after she landed the role when open auditions for the part were held at her school.
She says: "Once you've had to do a topless scene with just a pair of plastic daisies covering your nipples, nothing can faze you."
We say: Laid-back, uber-cool and brainy. We heart her.
Who: The Saturdays – aka (l-r) Frankie Sandford, 19, Rochelle Wiseman, 19, Mollie King, 21, Vanessa White, 19, and Una Healy, 27
Hot because: These pop princesses have already had two Top10 hits and toured with Girls Aloud. However, they'll realise their full potential next year when they release new tracks with a softer feel, starting with ?the single Issues in January. The girls are no strangers to the fame game. They've already signed a lucrative deal with Mac cosmetics and if you thought Rochelle and Frankie looked a little familiar, that's because they used to be in S Club Juniors back in 2001.
They say: "The music scene seems to have got a bit serious. There's not enough pop stuff around, so we're going to bring the fun back. We're not trying to rival any other girl band, we're just adding to what's out there at the moment."
We say: Move over Girls Aloud, it's time for some new pop minxes.
Who: Catherine Banner, 19
Hot because: She wrote her first novel, The Eyes Of A King, at just 14 and signed a publishing deal with Random House when she was 16 after approaching a literary agent for advice at a book festival. Not one to rest on her laurels, Catherine's already finished her second book and has started work on the third, all while studying English at Cambridge. Wow. And with talk of movie adaptations of her books in the pipeline, Catherine could become the new JK Rowling.
She says: "I never expected to get my work published, I just wrote because I loved doing it. It does feel like a dream sometimes. On occasion, I even wonder if it's all been a big mistake."
We say: Three books and a movie deal – kerching!
