THERE WAS NO WAY KATHREAN MOONSAMY COULD AFFORD THE BOOB JOB SHE SO DESPERATELY WANTED – BUT SHE REFUSED TO GIVE UP HOPE

I gave up praying my 32A breasts would grow any bigger 10 years ago when I was 21.

I hated them.

I looked so boyish. I didn’t like not being able to wear sexy tops to show off my cleavage like my friends, and it affected my confidence.

I thought about surgery, but it was way out of my reach – far too expensive.

I’d just left home and was renting my first flat.

There was no spare cash for monthly repayments on a loan for surgery, let alone paying for the operation outright.

I moved to Chesterfield from South Africa five years ago and got a job in an architects’ firm.

I just couldn’t believe the cost of living here.

Although the wages are higher, so are the prices.

Spending about £4,000 on a boob job seemed impossible with my huge rent, bills and everything else on top.

I met Tim, a project manager who’s now 35, three years ago.

He loved my small breasts and was always telling me not to worry about them.

He tried to reassure me that because I was slim they were in proportion, but I couldn’t help the way I felt.

Breasts create womanly curves and, thanks to my non-existent pair, I just didn’t feel feminine.

My birthday is a week before Christmas and at the beginning of December 2006, Tim asked what I’d like for my two presents.

I was really just joking when I said: ‘Why don’t you buy me one new boob for my birthday, and the other one for Christmas?’

But to my utter astonishment, he did!

Unbeknown to me, he did some research and then, on my birthday, announced that he’d sourced some reputable companies, got some prices and if I was still interested, he’d use some savings to pay for a breast enlargement for me.

He told me that although he loved me the way I was, he hated seeing me miserable and wanted to make me feel better about myself.

I was absolutely thrilled and really touched.

So, at the start of 2007, we went for consultations with various surgeons and in July we settled on the Transform Medical Group.

I had the £3,700 operation to take me to a 32E that October, so I’d be healed in time for my birthday and Christmas.

Just before my birthday, Tim and I flew to Geneva for a romantic break.

On my special day, I put on a beautiful, low-cut dress I’d never have been able to wear before to show off his gift.

That night, Tim popped the question!

Now I have new breasts and a husband-to-be, and that feels pretty good.”
