Star treatment If you listened hard enough when high-definition TVs were introduced, you would have heard the screams of celebs everywhere. No flaw would be left unseen again, especially when it came to unruly brows. Thankfully, eyebrow superhero Nilam Patel swooped in with her seven-step HD Brow programme to save them all.

"We use tinting, waxing and threading to create the optimum brow shape. So many people are stunned by how it can transform your face," Nilam says. "It can take up to 18 months to grow your brows into the perfect shape for your face. Budget it "The worst habit people have is over plucking," Nilam warns. "Use powder to softly colour in the shape you want, then tweeze from below. In the unshaded areas, use a large mirror, rather than a compact, and stand back every so often to check it looks OK." If you make a mistake use eyeshadow to fill in any gaps.

Star treatment Partied-out skin and bags bigger than the Beckhams' luggage allowance will not be forgiving under the flash of the paparazzi bulb. Luckily, skin guru Nichola is on hand for celeb close-ups. "I give clients radiant, luminous skin, and massage is a big part of that," says Nichola. Her trademark treatment? The Inner Facial, which involves massaging cheeks and gums from inside the mouth to diffuse tension in the jaw and sculpt the the face.

Budget it "Preparation is key whether you're in a salon or DIY-ing it. To get a smooth colour it's vital you exfoliate first with an exfoliating glove," explains James. Got post-tan orange palms? Rub on toothpaste, then rinse. No one will ever know.
