The ladies from New York are back and looking better than ever. But figures like theirs don't come easy. And the stars of the show have some novel ways of staying in shape, from eating every three hours to squirting lemon juice on their food. Here are their own tips to getting and staying in shape:
KIM CATTRALL Kim Cattrall has never been shy about discussing her weight and so it comes as no surprise to learn that she is the SATC star with the weirdest diet tip.
Kim says that to stop her eating the leftovers from her dinner, she squirts lemon juice all over the food so that it tastes disgusting and she wont be tempted to eat it!
But thankfully the actress does admit to following more conventional methods of weightloss.
Even at the age of 51 Kim says she works hard at maintaining her enviable figure.
"I diet every day of my life. After 40 you've got to," says Kim.
"I exercise as much as I can. If I don't exercise, I feel sluggish.
"I try to do 30 minutes a day.
"If I can't get to a gym, I walk. I find it a release.
"There is no secret, I have some good genes but time is taking over."
The blonde bombshell may not have youth on her side but this doesn't put her off, in fact it seems to encourage her.
"The other girls on the show are 10 years younger than I am so I have to get enough sleep and work out and watch what I eat.
"Just running around New York is a good way to keep in shape."
Kim is a fan of the GI and South Beach diets, and the actress also works with a trainer.
Her regular program includes walking, biking and roller-blading to increase her heart rate and speed up
her metabolism.
She explains, "I like to exercise and I've always been very athletic.
" I ski and I have a very disciplined workout regime.
"I play tennis, I run, I like to do the treadmill and I do very light weights."
But her secret weapon when it comes to her long, youthful limbs is pilates - something she credits with not only keeping her trim but also improving her posture and helping her sleep.
SARAH JESSICA PARKER We're used to seeing such weird and wacky Hollywood diet and fitness tips, that it comes as somewhat of a relief to hear that Sarah Jessica Parker's toned and taut figure could be down to what she calls "everyday exercise."
The 43-year-old describes her exercise strategy as consistent and she just makes a couple of simple lifestyle changes to stay active, such as choosing to walk instead of taking a taxi.
She also avidly makes stair climbing a big part of her daily activities.
Given the opportunity, she'll head to the next floor by running up the stairs rather than taking the lift.
"I walk everywhere instead of taking a cab," she explains.
"I don't have a fitness routine and I don't work on my figure at all, but I do try to sneak in some exercise into my life any way I can."
The actress also has her son James Wilkie Broderick to thank for keeping her fit.
"Running around New York City and having a five-year-old," she says helps her maintain a hollywood figure.
And despite her dislike of the gym and not being a fan of tough exercise regimes, she does go running and practices pilates and yoga to stay in shape.
When it comes to eating, the gorgeous star favours the Zone diet and tries to keep her portions small.
Sarah also likes to stock up on protein and doesn't overdo it on alcohol, fat or sugar.
It seems that petite Sarah has a healthy attitude towards food.
She says, "I will eat anything, from any country, with or without utensils.
"Frankly, I would rather have time with my friends and family than worry too much about certain things.
" I would definitely be more inclined to go to a dinner party than slave away in the gym.
"Food and people are life's greatest pleasures!"
KRISTIN DAVIS The stunning Sex and the City star is a girl after our own hearts, admitting, "I'm a curvy girl. I'm never going to be the thinnest person in Hollywood but the truth is, I don't want to be."
The brunette 43-year-old has a very sensible attitude towards eating and argues that anyone who tries "starving" themselves to shed weight is "crazy".
Instead, she understands that exercise is a great way to get fit, keep her body trim and it keeps her mind healthy too.
“I live up in the hills and I have dogs, so it is my responsibility to get them out and walk with them and I love being outside.
"I go on lots of hikes.
"I think it’s good mentally to do that as well as physically.”
Variety is also really important for Kristin, and when getting back into shape to play Charlotte, she says, "I knew I would be running, so I went back on the treadmill.
"I also did yoga and pilates.
"I love pilates. But you know, I don't like anything forever, I get bored."
When she needs to lose weight, the actress uses the Zone diet and says, "My main issue is to never let myself get too hungry.
"I make sure I eat every three hours or so, mostly proteins, good carbs, veggies and salad."
She also adds, “I think it is about having balance. Eat what you want but in moderation.”
CYNTHIA NIXON When it comes to staying healthy and keeping her figure in shape, it seems Cynthia goes about it in her own quiet way.
The 42-year-old has said she dropped pounds for the movie, and credits her slim physique, in part to Gyrotronics - a combination of several workouts, including yoga, ballet, tai chi and gymnastics.
The actress also has a lot of love for sushi.
She's so keen on it, having several times a week, she doesn't even need to look at a menu when ordering any of the Japanese dishes in the restaurant.
With a slightly unusual attitude to vegetables, apparently Cynthia likes them with a twist.
In this instance it's the tomato.
Known as the Cynthia Nixon Tomato Surprise, she reportedly dips tomatoes in vodka and then into salt.
We're not sure if this is a particularly pleasant surprise though...
It may just put you off eating whatever food you choose to dip!
