Emmerdale's Sammy Winward looked drop dead gorgeous as she holidayed with her boyfriend in Dubai.

And unlike most of us, there wasn't an inch of cellulite anywhere to be seen on the 22-year-old actress.

But rather than sit and cry into your fifth chocolate bar, take a look at our easy tips to shift that orange peel in no time.

TIPS TO SUCCESS

* Aim to drink at least 1.5 litres of water a day. It will help to remove waste products and also keeps water levels in your skin at an optimum, giving you smooth, hydrated skin all day long.

* You may not be able to go to a spa every day but you can give you skin a brush every morning. Using a body brush in a gentle circular motion will help to stimulate blood flow and boost general circulation. It's also one of the best ways to take care of your skin.

* Simple techniques like massaging your skin with your fingers can help to wave goodbye to the 'cottage cheese effect'. Push your fingertips into your skin or push your hands in opposite directions so that they twist the skin. Don't be too gentle either - you want to start physically breaking down the fatty deposits just below the skin's surface.

* Eat plenty of brightly coloured fruit and vegetables. These are the best source of antioxidants and will reduce the toxins in your body and so improve the clarity and texture of your skin.

* Try grilling or steaming food instead of frying it, and eat more brown rice and pasta, wholewheat bread, pulses and beans - these keep the digestive system working efficiently, helping to prevent water retention and the formulation of cellulite.

* Don't be a slave to your desk or sofa, exercise is a sure way to banishing the orange peel, and you'll lose weight too. The best types of exercise to successfully burn off fat are gentle, long-lasting activities like running, cycling, swimming and skipping, rather than shorter duration, higher-intensity forms of exercise such as squash, tennis and weight lifting.

* Improve the appearance of your skin by cutting down on the worst offenders - caffeine, alcohol and nicotine.

* Endermologie is a non-surgical treatment and has been described as physiotherapy to remove cellulite. It involves a handheld contraption that pinches the unwanted lumps by kneading, sucking and pulling up the skin between two small rollers. It's available at salons nationwide.

* Look for creams with aloe vera in them. When swallowed this ingredient lowers blood-sugar levels and reduces fat in the blood, and when applied to the skin it can improve circulation.

* Try SESHA Skin Therapy's Anti-Cellulite Body Montage cream to help fight and eliminate cellulite. It works by penetrating your skin and first dissolves fat, then helps regenerate the connective tissues to prevent future cellulite development.
