We're all guilty of picking up a magazine or newspaper and analysing the celebrity bods adorning the pages.

But what we don't see is the hard work our favourite actresses, singers and models have undergone to be body beautiful.

In some cases very extreme fitness regimes and diet plans.

Here we pick out the best tips from 10 of our favourite stars, beware though some are certainly not for the faint-hearted!

1 Picture this

Heidi Klum, 35, takes a naked picture of herself to show up all her lumps and bumps, inspiring her to step away from the doughnuts.

2 Eat five times a day

New mum Halle Berry, 41, is a fan of the 5 Factor Diet. The plan is based on eating five meals a day, which take five minutes to prepare, and contain only five simple ingredients.

3 Eat like a Caveman

To lose a few pounds, Liz Hurley, 43, does the Caveman Diet – only eating foods from eons ago, like lean meats and fresh fruit.

4 Use Pineapple power

Martine McCutcheon, 32, swears by pineapple juice which she believes speeds up her metabolism.

5 Perfect timing

By having three balanced meals a day and never eating after 7pm, Carly Zucker, 26, says you can still have treats and stop the weight piling on.

6 The lunchbox diet

Cameron Diaz, 35, fills a large plastic box with a mix of 60 per cent vegetables, 30 per cent protein and 10 per cent fat. The idea is to graze on it through-out the day so she isn’t tempted to snack or binge at meal times.

7 Apples and peanuts

A craving for sweets can attack at any time, so make like Demi Moore, 45, and satisfy the sugar craving by snacking on apple slices with peanut butter. It seems to work for her!

8 Tea detox

Sophie Dahl, 30, drinks green tea to help flush toxins from her body and because it helps to speed up the metabolism, it’s said the regular brews helped her drop two dress sizes.

9 Baby portions

Reese Witherspoon, 32, controls her calories and portions by eating jars of baby food. Apparently it’s a convenient, tasty and nutritional snack.

10 And if all else fails… Sexercise!

Kelly Brook, 28, says regular nookie helps keep her slim. Half an hour of rigorous sex uses up 250 calories, the equivalent of jogging for the same amount of time
