GET AN IT-GIRL BODY IN 60 SECONDS!

AFTER TURNING HER BACK ON FAME TO BECOME A PERSONAL TRAINER, LADY ISABELLA HERVEY HAS A FIGURE THAT MAKES US GREEN WITH ENVY. SO WHO BETTER TO DESIGN A WORKOUT EXCLUSIVELY FOR FABULOUS ?

Who can forget Lady Isabella’s gorgeous pocket-sized body when she appeared as a contestant on reality show Celebrity Love Island in 2005?

Not former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan, 26, that’s for sure.

He famously fell for her charms on the show and followed her around like a lovesick puppy. The powers of a perfect bod, eh?

But the good news is that the size 8 It-girl-turned-personal-trainer can help you get a super-toned body in record time.

“There’s no magic to getting a body like mine,” Isabella, 26, insists.

“The key is to eat well and exercise regularly – that’s all! What people don’t realise is that you don’t have to spend your entire life at the gym.

"That’s why I’ve come up with these simple, one-minute, fat-burning, body-firming moves that are easy to fit in anywhere – and at any time.”

These 60-second bursts are all it takes to tone up, according to Isabella.

“In an ideal world you would do all these moves as part of a circuit, but if you’re busy you can just do each exercise individually, whenever you have a spare minute,” she explains.

Which means there are no excuses not to follow Isabella’s tone-up plan…

1. LEAN LEGS

Walking lunge

Take a large step forward with your right leg, lunging down low until your knee is at 90°. Keep your back leg straight then straighten up, taking your weight on your front leg, before stepping forward with your left leg and repeating the move. This works on every part of your leg, from your bottom down to your calves.

2. TONED BUM & THIGHS

Jumping squats

Keeping your back straight with your feet hip-width apart and arms out straight in front of you, jump up in the air, land and bend down into a squat. Hold for a couple of seconds then jump again. Try to do as many as you can in a minute. This requires a lot of energy, so it works your cardio system as well as strengthening your legs.

3. FLAT STOMACH

The plank

This is the ultimate tummy toner. Lie on the floor, then curl your toes under and raise yourself up on your forearms (this is like a press-up position but rather than your hands, your arms are on the floor). Keeping your body absolutely straight, hold the pose for as long as possible (at first you may not be able to manage a full minute).

Side plank

To really whittle your waist you need to work the external oblique muscles on the side of your tummy too. From a plank position (above) turn your body to take your weight on one arm. Hold for as long as you can before swapping sides.

4. TAUT, TONED ARMS

Dips

These are fantastic for getting rid of bingo wings. Sit on a bench or chair with your hands on the seat by your sides. Shuffle your bottom forward until your hands are taking your weight, then lower your bottom in a straight line towards the floor, dipping as low as you can. Straighten your arms to raise yourself back up, then repeat.

5. FAT BURNING

Skipping

Skip for one minute, as fast as you can. This is a great way of getting your heart going. It’s also brilliant for all-over fitness as you’re working your legs and arms, too.

Sprinting and jogging

Run or jog as fast as you can for one minute. This is a good cardio workout and a great way to get the blood pumping round your body if you’re short on time.
