Getting older doesn’t bother me. I’ll be 30 in October and I’m looking forward to it. I still feel as young as I did in my early 20s, but now I have a wiser head on my shoulders.

You shouldn’t tell people to cheer up when they’re sad. I’m a happy person, but I know that if you’re down you have to go through it to come out the other end.

When I was young my dad wouldn’t let me leave the house without moisturising, because black skin can look a bit grey otherwise. I’m still obsessive about it and I always carry Dove Rich Nourishing Beauty Hand Cream in my bag.

I don’t own a set of scales and I haven’t a clue how much I weigh. I just don’t see it as a priority. I’ve never dieted either – I enjoy my food too much!

My favourite part of my body is my legs. They’re long and I like the shape of them. They’re the one part of my body I don’t give myself a hard time about.

I don’t like the idea of cosmetic surgery. I would like to think that when I get wrinkles I will embrace the changes, rather than see them as a flaw.
