Gemma Noyce is planning a girls’ trip to Thailand with her housemates, Zoe and Katherine, all 27.

From partying in Bangkok to trekking in the jungle, the girls have lots of ideas for how they’ll fill their days.

But when it comes to filling her backpack, Gemma, a course organiser for a publishing company in Somerset, doesn’t know where to begin. 

“Shorts and vests are fine for adventurous activities like mountain treks,” says Gemma.

“But we’ll also be eating in nice restaurants and visiting luxury spas, so we don’t want to look like scruffy gap-year students all the time.” 

TV stylist Nicky Hambleton-Jones created three looks to carry Gemma from the boutiques of Bangkok to the spas of Koh Samui – and all are compact enough to fit in a rucksack.

GEMMA’S VERDICT: “I feel like I can do the trip in style now, without looking like I’ve tried too hard – and without carrying a dead weight on my back!

"It’s low-maintenance glamour, and I love it.”
