ANGELA Lindsay has a gorgeous size 8 figure but nobody would ever know it. The 23-year-old nursery nurse doesn’t have the confidence to flaunt her amazing body and usually ends up hiding it in jeans and jumpers.

“I work with pre-school kids all day so there’s no point in dressing up for them,” says Angela, from Cambridge.

“When I’m on a night out, I’m always the one who hangs back. I see other girls in fashionable, figure-flattering clothes and think I’d love to look like them and feel more confident.

"Everyone tells me I have a great figure, but I just don’t feel comfortable showing it off. I don’t think I could pull off a sexy outfit.”

She adds: “I like shopping but I always stick to what I know – jeans and a top – which isn’t very exciting. I’d love to turn up to a night out looking glamorous and amaze everyone!”

Angela has the same approach to make-up.

She says: “I wear very little and never try to look glamorous or sexy.”

Stylist and 10 Years Younger presenter Nicky Hambleton-Jones says Angela needs to start experimenting with more daring styles and learn to love flaunting her figure.

“Your 20s is the time when you can really make a statement and try out different looks,” says Nicky. “Angela doesn’t realise that she has a wonderful body and a naturally beautiful face.”

After a full head-to-toe makeover, Angela reveals her new night-out look.

“I love the dress and the colour – I can’t believe it’s me!” she says.

Nicky adds: “We wanted to show Angela her potential. This midnight blue strapless dress and high-waist belt showcase her slender figure beautifully.

"Because the dress is a solid colour we could add bold, chunky accessories.”

To achieve a younger, edgier look, Nicky gave Angela’s straight hair a soft, curly twist.

Nicky explains: “Angela’s had long, straight hair for ages. But it wasn’t adding anything to her look so we used rollers to give it volume and movement.”

So does Angela think she’ll turn heads on her next night out?

“Definitely! I feel like a princess. It’s amazing how different you feel about yourself when you like what you see in the mirror.”

NICKY ON MAKE UP “Young faces can take a lot more make-up, so be bold. For a sparkly look, we used dazzle dust all over Angela’s eyelids and applied false eyelashes. If you’ve gone for glittery eyes, it’s a good idea to balance them with a matt lipstick — we chose plum for Angela. You don’t always need gloss to look glam.”

NICKY ON CURLS “This season is all about volume, which is why I chose curls for Angela. Use hairspray on small sections of hair, roll up and secure. Spray the whole head, leave for 10 minutes, take out the rollers and run your fingers through for soft, sexy curls.”

NICKY ON GLAMOUR “Creating an ultimate glam look is all about adding finishing touches, such as nail polish or false eyelashes, like Angela is wearing. These special touches will make you stand out from the crowd and give you an extra confidence boost.”

NICKY ON ACCESSORIES “The chunky accessories work brilliantly because the dress is so simple. The silver leaves of the necklace add drama and I went for a metallic theme that knits the shoes, belt, bracelet and necklace together. Remember that cheaper, chunkier accessories are easier to carry off while you’re young, so get in quick!”
