I love to dress up - even for a pub date," says Gigi, who lives in Yeovil, Somerset.

Stylist and 10 Years Younger presenter Nicky Hambleton-Jones says confidence is the key for first date fashion.

Nicky explains: Working with Gigi's signature style, Nicky and her team created a look that complemented her fun personality but meant she didn't have to step outside her comfort zone. Nicky's make-up artist vamped up Gigi's daytime look with sexy red lips.

However, Nicky warns: "Do one or the other, not dramatic eyes and lips."

Gigi, who runs her own business, Gigi Does It, advising clients on how to keep their homes and life in order, is delighted with her transformation.

She says: "I love it. I feel pretty and confident but it's in keeping with my style. I'm more than ready to wow my date - now I just need to find one!"

Nicky on make-up

"On a date, you engage a man with eyes and lips, so pick one feature out. Gigi has lovely grey/blue eyes so we chose subtle metallics and a bold red for her lips. The safest option is to do what you do normally, but make it a bit more glam."

Nicky on clothes

"Gigi loves the vintage look so that's what we went for. It's rather glam for a first date but that's who she is. This fabulous green dress, nipped in at the waist with volume in the skirt, gives a curvy figure. An hourglass shape signals fertile hips which men find

incredibly attractive."

Nicky on grooming

"For a boost, get your brows shaped professionally. This frames the face and lifts your eyes. Bold nails would have been too much with the lipstick, so we left them unpolished. Red nails, red lips and glam hair together can intimidate a man."

Nicky on vintage

"Vintage is a great way to express individuality. Mix key pieces with modern clothing, just like Sienna Miller and Amy Winehouse. There are many vintage shops, markets and websites. It's amazing what you'll find. Try Orsini (020 7937 2903), www.marthascloset.co.uk or www.oohlalavintage.com."

Nicky on hair

"Don't overstyle or you will look like you've been trying too hard. It might be worth booking in for a blow-dry in a salon because it will boost your confidence and makes hair really sexy and soft. For maximum gloss, wash your hair, put a conditioning mask on it, wrap it in a hot towel, and then leave for 10 minutes."
