- THE A-LIST DOUBLE DIP
A fake tan that makes you look a dress size smaller? No wonder Sienna Miller is a fan of the double-dip, created by the experts at St Tropez, before she goes off on her hols. We sent Fabulous reader Yvonne Louca, 25, from London, to try it.
DAY ONE: ACE YOUR BASE
“The first stage is the application of an all-over tan,” says Yvonne. “So after Sophie the therapist had exfoliated my body with St Tropez Body Polisher, £15.50, she applied a dark tanning cream from top to toe, and told me not to wash it off until the next morning, when the dark mahogany would be replaced by a lovely light shade.” “Altogether it took 20 mins but I was glad I was going straight home as it looked quite weird.”
DAY TWO: COLOUR-ING IN
“By morning I was brown all over. Back at the salon, the slimming shading was applied. Sophie shaded areas with a fine mist on my arms, legs, stomach, shoulders and back. These dark shadows give the appearance of muscles, and my body looked instantly more toned. Sophie said it would look more natural after the colour had developed overnight.”
DAY THREE: BASK IN THE GLOW
“After showering the next morning, I was delighted with the results. Although I’m quite slim, I don’t have much muscle definition as I don’t go to the gym, but this tan made me look more toned. I can’t wait to show off my body on the beach and I’m glad my tan will last all week. It was worth the £50 I spent.”
